Note: This was a technology we dabbled with early but did not use this year.

This is a new tool for use in the Horizon Project this year. Many participants are familiar with the concept of browsing and reviewing news of interest via RSS aggregators. A reBlog, provides another layer on top of simple aggregation- it allows specific items to be "republished" into a new form, hence the name "reBlog" for reBlogging the words of other bloggers (with full attribution).

Before RSS technology, tracking many different web sites required physical visits on a regular basis:

RSS enabled a way for sites to publish information that could funnel to an individual; however using aggregation tools, to publish this as a collection means everything in all sources are published (e.g. a Bloglines public account, a SuprGlu site):
