Horizon.au:About
From Horizon.au
What's New?
|
Horizon.au is a new project for 2008, launched under the banner of the New Media Consortium's Horizon Project that applies the process developed for the New Media Consortium's Horizon Project with a focus on emerging technologies for learning institutions in Australia and New Zealand.
Members of the education community "down under" are encouraged to follow the Advisory Board's progress as the discussion unfolds and to use the wiki as a resource and reference tool. It is the record of the processes used, materials referenced, research methods, and decisions that were part of creating the 2008 Horizon.au Report. It is meant to provide a deep resource of materials that will underpin the Report.
In 2008, the NMC introduced several new Horizon Projects focused on specific program areas, including Horizon.au, which will focus on emerging technologies and their impact on education through a uniquely Austalasian lens. The Horizon.au Report, scheduled for release in Fall 2008, will describe key technologies and trends likely to impact education across the Australasian regions during the next five years.
Members of the Australasia education community are encouraged to participate in the Horizon.au Project, as users of and contributors to the wiki, or by tagging resources in del.icio.us, using the Project's tag hzau08.
